​1.   Sharing - Through The Ages and Stages of Child Development                                          8:00am - 10:00am

Sharing is a skill young children learn over time. Join us for this workshop that looks at how this important social skill develops, and what you can (and shouldn't) do to support the children's learning

3.  Rethinking Classroom Discipline - Finding Better Ways to Manage Challenging Behaviors! 

     1:00pm - 3:00pm

Teachers spend more and more time managing challenging behaviors in the classrooms. What can we do to become better at this? In this workshop we will look past traditional guidance and discipline methods, and investigate new and dynamic strategies that may change the way you think about the rules of engagement in your classroom.

You earn one STARS/ MERIT hour for each hour of training completed

30H Child Care Basics Courses

The hybrid (in-class + online module) 30-hour Child Care Basics course is no longer available as of August 1st, 2019, as per DCYF regulations due to the updated WACs. This training model will resume in late 2020.

​Students have the option on doing the 30-Hour Child Care Basics as an ONLINE course,

or signing up for a full 30-hour in class training.

​2.  Wriggle, Wiggle, and Spin! Attention Challenges or Schematic Learning ?           10:20am - 12:20pm

Have your ever observed children spinning around the room, rocking during group time, or lining up their toys in a perfectly straight line? In this session we will investigate and learning schemas, and what we can do in the classroom to honor schematic learning and provide meaningful support for them as a child's style of playing and learning.  2 STARS Hours | $25
